Greece repays EUR458 million loan installment to IMF

FXStreet (Mumbai) - Greece met a Thursday deadline to repay EUR360 million Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) or around a EUR458 million loan installment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as reported by WSJ.

Greece's Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis had confirmed at his meeting with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde in Washington on Sunday that Athens would honor its obligation in a timely manner, dismissing recent rumors about a possible default ahead of the deadline.

Meanwhile, the Euro Working Group (EWG) gave Greece a six working day deadline to deliver revised reform proposals, so that an agreement can be reached at a Euro group meeting on April 24 in Riga.
