Russia’s Morgulov: North Korea taking step towards denuclearization

Igor Morgulov, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister responsible for relations with East and South Asia, told reporters in Seoul on Monday that North Korea is making efforts towards denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, reflected by the current pause in provocations.

“I think North Korea’s restraint for the past two months is within the simultaneous freeze roadmap” suggested by China and Russia.

“We will have to see a certain change of attitude of the U.S., especially on freezing or reducing.”
