Senator McCain to support Senate Tax Bill - ANZ

Analysts at ANZ explained that Senator McCain said overnight he would support the Senate Tax Bill.

Key Quotes:

"“I believe this legislation, though far from perfect, would enhance American competitiveness, boost the economy, and provide long-overdue tax relief for middle-class families.”

The aim is to hold a final vote on the Senate bill by the end of the week.

McCain’s support had certainly not been assumed, after he surprised most observers by voting against demolishing the Affordable Care Act. Republicans can only lose two votes (assuming no Democrat support) and there are still five senators seen as wobbly."
