China’s Gao: China hopes to work with Japan, S. Korea on free trade agreement

The Chinese commerce ministry’s spokesman Gao Feng said at a regular news briefing on Thursday, China hopes to work with Japan and South Korea to reach a mutually beneficial free trade agreement (FTA) as soon as possible, Reuters reports.

Gao added that both the Asian economies will complete the second phase of their free trade agreement negotiations at the earliest in an effort to step up trade.
