US midterm elections: News outlets forecast Democrats to control House

With Democrats only needing 9 more pickups in House races, major news outlets, including ABD, CNBC, FOX, and CNN, are projecting Democrats to win the majority in the House of Representatives. Similarly, FiveThirtyEight sees an 89% probability.

The US Dollar Index, which rose to 96.46 earlier in the session on surprise wins by Republican candidates in some key districts, erased its gains and was last seen down 0.18% on the day at 96.09. 

Meanwhile, Republicans retained the control of the Senate as widely anticipated.
