Crude Oil Futures: Door open to further gains

CME Group’s preliminary readings for crude oil futures markets noted open interest went up for the second consecutive session on Tuesday, now by around 19.5K contracts. Volume followed suit and rose by around 228.7K contracts.

WTI now focuses on 2021 highs near $77.00

Crude oil prices charted a positive session on Tuesday against the backdrop of increasing open interest and volume. That said, further gains now remain on the cards for WTI, with the next hurdle at the YTD highs near the $77.00 mark per barrel (July 6).
